Anna Speer

I am a Florida-based artist working mostly in oil paint, collage, printmaking and various drawing mediums. I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and I currently attend Florida State University in Tallahassee as I pursue my BFA in Studio Arts.  In my work, I am inspired by nostalgia and feelings of familiarity.  I also love liminal spaces and creating a feeling of uncanny familiarity in my work, focusing on the still, hot, and lonely atmosphere of Florida suburbs.
